FAQs
Do you offer a free consultation?
Absolutely! I prefer to meet with each client for a 25 minute free consultation prior to making a first appointment. I want to make sure I can provide what you need and that we are a good counseling fit.
How long are sessions?
A standard therapy session is 50 minutes. For EMDR, many clients prefer 90-minute sessions. Let’s talk about what’s right for you!
What is the cost?
In Network Insurance
I am in-network with United Health Care, Aetna, and Medicaid. Please contact your insurance company to verify your mental health benefits. Please note that, often, insurance companies will require clients to receive a diagnosis in order to be reimbursed for therapy or receive services. If you are concerned about having a mental health diagnosis on your permanent medical record, please let us know so we can discuss your options.
Out of Network Insurance
If you have an insurance plan with a company other than United Health Care, Aetna, or Medicaid, you may qualify for out-of-network benefits. Out-of-network benefits are when your insurance plan allows you to be reimbursed for some or all of your payments for services rendered with a provider who is not paneled with your insurance. I am able to provide you with the appropriate paperwork to submit for these benefits. Please inquire with your insurance company directly about your out-of-network benefits and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need assistance in exploring this option. **Please note, when you contact your insurance company, you will need to mention that I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate to check for coverage.
Sliding Scale Services
If you are in need of financial assistance with your therapeutic costs, I reserve a limited amount of sliding scale options. Let me know if this is an option you’d like to explore.
Private Pay
A standard 50 minute session is $135.
A 90-minute EMDR session is $200
